The Deep Web is largely owned by large corporates or governments. The term “Dark Web” should not be confused with the “Deep Web” as they are referring to two different things. The Dark Web is a hidden part of the World Wide Web (This enables a high degree of anonymity and makes it difficult for authorities to shut down – which, unfortunately, makes the Dark Web a hotbed for many illegal or immoral activities.
